At the formal launch of its Looking Glass icon- and mouse-driven graphical user interface for Unix, Visix Software Inc, Arlington, Virginia had three new licensees, Stardent Computer Inc, Newton, Massachusetts, in for $2m over three years for a bundling agreement; BDS Inc, Sterling, Virginia, a distribution agreement to supply Looking Glass and Directory Shell to the US government; and Visual Technology Inc, Lowell, Massachusetts, a strategic marketing agreement to use Looking Glass to demonstrate its X Window System Display Station terminals; list price for Looking Glass ranges from $600 to $800; existing licensees are Interactive Systems Corp, Pyramid Technology Corp, Intergraph Corp, MIPS Computer Systems Inc and Network Computing Devices Inc.
