Agfa HealthCare provides IT-enabled clinical workflow and diagnostic imaging solutions and will integrate the Visage’s CS Thin Client/Server into its IMPAX product line. According to Visage, this integration will enable large image data volumes to reside on the central server and 3D-4D images will be accessible within the picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) workflow, throughout the entire healthcare enterprise.

The company also said that the integration provides faster data access as well as different visualization techniques such as multi-planar reformatting, maximum intensity projection and volume rendering.

Our collaboration with Visage Imaging enables us to achieve increased performance levels for loading and viewing large studies such as multi-slice CT throughout the hospital enterprise, fully integrated into the workflow of our radiology and image management solutions, said Erkan Akyuz, general manager RIS/PACS at Agfa HealthCare.

Last month, Visage partnered with medical imaging service company 3DR Laboratories to provide advanced 3D imaging and visualization solutions for reading and post-processing services to healthcare organizations and hospitals.
