VIRTUAL PET CAUSE OF EXTENSIVE CHASE IN JAPAN

Japanese police took four teenage boys into custody on Friday, Reuter reports from Tokyo, adding that they had detained the 14- year-old junior high school boys after a chase involving a police helicopter and several patrol cars. They wanted to interview the boys over the suspected theft of a Bandai Co Ltd Tamagocchi, or electronic virtual pet pocket toy.
