Virtua Health will use Canopy UM to automate the authorization and denial management process with the payor community for its inpatient population.

Virtua Health’s case management department will also begin using Canopy CM to develop a continuum-based approach to case management. Ultimately, Virtua believes Canopy will be an essential tool to create a corporate case management program in order to integrate care and services across the Virtua Health system. Because Canopy is a Web-based system, Virtua Health’s case managers and other members of the patient’s care team will be able access the system both in the hospital and in the community.
