ViewStar Corp, Alameda, California, plans to ship its Internet Transport Task Internet software this week and will ship two Web workflow products at the end of the summer to offer its automation software users enhanced Internet/Intranet capability. Its rival, FileNet Corp, Costa Mesa, California, is promising to announce enterprise-wide Web products at the end of the summer, but has not announced a shipping date. Proprietary systems from both companies are designed to help store and move documents across the Internet or Intranets, for example, a bank customer could apply for a loan over the Web and follow its progress or regional offices could electronically share information easier.
