VIETNAM GEARS UP TO GET ONLINE

The Directorate General of Post and Telecommunications in Vietnam has said the infrastructure to enable the country to go online is in place, and the first Internet Provider is hoped to be licensed this week, reports Reuters. It is thought there will be two gateways opened, one in Hanoi and one in Ho Chi Minh City, but access will be initially available through only one provider.
