Vidyo has announced that it will support the new version of Adobe’s enterprise Web conferencing offering, Adobe Connect 8, with a "personal telepresence" plug-in that is being developed by Vidyo using Adobe Connect 8 Collaboration Builder SDK.
The company said the plug-in will allow users to launch a telepresence-quality Vidyo conference within an Adobe Connect session to interact and collaborate with multiple parties.
The plug-in will integrate Vidyo and Adobe Connect using Vidyo APIs.
Adobe Connect director of product management Guillaume Privat said Connect 8 offers new capabilities including a simpler user interface for improved usability, enhanced audio/video integration for richer participant experiences, a new optional desktop client for improved access, and a software development kit (SDK) for greater solution extensibility.
"Adobe Connect 8 makes video and collaboration experiences more engaging than ever before and with this new plug-in from Vidyo, users in education, government and other markets will be able to seamlessly participate in telepresence-quality Vidyo conferences," Privat said.
Vidyo SVP of vertical solutions Amnon Gavish said the Adobe Connect 8 API allows them to deliver even tighter and more natural integration between their products and, combined with Adobe Connect, delivers a ‘best of breed’ collaboration tool for both Adobe and Vidyo users.
