VIDEO CONFERENCING ENABLED ON LOTUS NOTES WITH INTEL’S PROSHARE

By CBR Staff Writer

Users of Lotus Development Corp’s Notes will now be able to join video conferencing session following Intel Corp’s release of its ProShare video conferencing software. The software will enable users to discuss projects on which they are jointly working, such as spreadsheets or word processing documents with co-workers who appear in a window on the same screen. The total software package, called RealTime Notes, will be pre-loaded on IBM Corp’s Aptivas next year and IBM will also incorporate the software into OS/2. It is also going to be included free with Notes for the next three months.
