VICTOR MICRONIC HAS THE M1000 HANDHELD COMPUTER TERMINAL

Victor Micronic (UK) Ltd, the UK subsidiary of Swedish Datronic AB, now has the 1Mb M1000 handheld computer terminal to add to its M500 Series for use in the retail, stock control, health and field maintenance sectors (CI No 790): the new model features an infra-red communications plinth with integral modem and optical nodes which establish a link with similar nodes on the terminal and allow data to be passed between the two even if the user leaves them unattended; the M1000 has a tag of UKP1,250 and offers full CP/M compatibility and is built around a Z80 processor.
