VIA to provide Solidcore software to auto makers

VIA Information Tools, a software and services provider for the manufacturing industry, has joined Solidcore's 'Solidified-for-Change' partner program, adding Solidcore's change control software to its portfolio.

By CBR Staff Writer

VIA selected Solidcore’s S3 Control software for its real-time change tracking and enforcement capabilities, which are designed to help automotive manufacturers improve productivity, increase service availability and reduce IT costs.

As part of the new Solidified-for-Change partner program, VIA will resell and implement Solidcore’s S3 Control software, which the company claims can be easily configured to increase the availability of manufacturing systems, enable the successful implementation of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) projects, and reduce the cost of compliance initiatives.

This product gives VIA customers technology-based change policy enforcement to automatically ensure changes made to critical manufacturing systems are in line with the change policy. It also provides real-time visibility into what changes are made and reconciliation of changes with service desk ticketing systems.
