Wakefield, Massachusetts-based Vestmark is embedding bits of MicroStrategy’s technology into its Managed Accounts Analyzer solution, which lets companies analyze and report on their investment portfolio across multiple channels. MicroStrategy is providing advanced drill-down support and more granular dimensional analysis – i.e. by product, firm, account activity and so on.
Founded in 2001, Vestmark develops a broad suite of separately and unified managed accounting products that are widely used by professional investment advisory firms to manage client accounts.
They help these firms to reduce operational costs associated with managing accounts and maximizing by streamlining message communications between investment management managers, sponsors and service providers and also provide reporting and performance management capabilities to maximize account profitability.
Interestingly, Vestmark’s CEO and controlling stockholder, David Blundin, is a former MicroStrategy employee and a member of MicroStrategy’s board. MicroStrategy said that it considers Blundin an independent director.
