Vermeer Technologies Inc, Cambridge, Massachusettes claims its FrontPage Web publishing software enables developers to create Web sites and pages on Macintosh or Windows desktops and deploy them on Solaris Unix Web servers without reformatting any of the content. Features include WebWizards, a collection of templates for importing ASCII and graphics, and WebBots, drop-in objects that add interactive functions to a Web site without additional programming. FrontPage costs $700. Irix and HP-UX Unix versions will follow.
