Verizon Business has rolled out a new Managed Router Solution, which provides SMBs with a secure internet access service that combines the Verizon Business access with customer premises equipment from Cisco.
Verizon Business said that in addition to premises equipment, which includes the Cisco 1800 Series Integrated Services Routers, Cisco 500 Series Secure Routers and Cisco 800 Series Routers, the new offering includes configuration and onsite installation; 24 x 7 monitoring and management; Cisco maintenance and software support; built-in managed firewall; and intrusion prevention.
Verizon Business claims that the new offering provides secure dedicated internet access at speeds ranging from 1.5Mbps T1 to 50Mbps ethernet coupled with proactive monitoring, maintenance and installation services.
Carrie Gray, executive director of SMB marketing at Verizon Business, said: Fast and dependable, always-on internet access is becoming as crucial for SMBs as it is for large enterprises, but many don’t have the expertise or staff to ensure reliable connectivity.
“With our new managed router solution, small and mid-size customers can concentrate on running their businesses without having to worry about the technical details.
