Verizon Wireless is releasing its new Android based dual core smartphone, the Motorola Droid X2.
The updated version of its Droid X smartphone, the new smartphone is Verizon’s first to feature a dual-core processor. The phone comes with Nvidia’s dual-core 1GHz processors.
The Droid X2 has a 4.3-inch display, with a virtual keyboard, a 8mp rear-facing camera, and 720p video cameras with dual-LED flashes.
The new device will come with Google’s Android 2.2 operating system, aka Froyo. The company said that it would be offering an upgrade to 2.3, the Gingerbread, soon.
The Droid X2 will be available beginning 19 May online and it stores on 26 May. The device is priced at $199 and comes with a two-year voice and data contract.
