Verizon starts offering LG’s kid friendly smartwatches

News: Kids can call their parents using the device.

By CBR Staff Writer

Verizon has started offering LG GizmoGadget and GizmoPal 2 kid friendly watches that are designed to help parents keep track of their children.

GizmoGadget is a $149.99 smartwatch that features a 1.3-inch touchscreen, which allows the wearers to call up to 10 contacts, receive calls, send short messages to GizmoGadget and locate users on a map via smartphone.

Like most smartwatches it also tracks fitness by counting the steps and jump-rope jumps the kids take.

The waterproof device is compatible with both Android 4.0 or higher and iOS 7 and is currently available in Red or Navy colours.

GizmoPal 2 is a $79.99 device that saves up to four contacts and is capable of making calls to and from the GizmoPal 2.

The watch is compatible with both Android and iOS operating systems, and sends alerts to parents if the child crosses the set GPS boundaries.

The waterproof watch is currently available in pink and blue.
