In the first quarter to March 31, net income fell 4.3% to $42.5m on revenue 6.5% higher at $394.4m. It said it expects a modest rise in revenue to $370m to $380m in the second quarter, with earnings per share in the $0.09 to $0.10 range.

CEO Gary Bloom said the storage management software company had maintained or gained market share in the past quarter. He said it benefited from being able to offer technology that helps to manage the current trend of business and IT consolidation.
