Web hosting company Verio Inc has launched its co-branded sites with America Online Inc and its CompuServe Corp subsidiary as part of its agreement with AOL that was signed in March.

Under the terms of that three-year deal, AOL will recruit web hosting customers for Verio in exchange for a large media buy of banners, buttons and keywords by Verio, for which Verio has agreed to spend a minimum of $42.5m over three years. In return Verio is the only company allowed to promote web hosting services to AOL’s small to medium business customers throughout AOL’s major properties, including the AOL proprietary service, AOL.com, CompuServe and Digital Cities.

The Verio@AOL and Verio@CompuServe sites are being advertised across AOL to drive up the traffic. Non-AOL members can access them at verioprimehost.com and veriobusinessweb.com for non- CompuServe members.
