VERBATIM COMPLAINT OF DUMPING RESPONDED

By CBR Staff Writer

The US International Trade Commission has responded to Verbatim Corp’s complaint that Japanese manufacturers led by Sony Corp are dumping 3.5 floppy disks in the US by deciding that there is prima facie evidence of dumping that may be hurting US manufacturers, who had to contend with $103m of imports last year: the decision means that the Commerce Department and the Trade Commission will continue the investigation, and may decide that import duties are called for.
