Veramark said the purchase is part of the county’s facility expansion and technology modernization initiative for these departments, necessitated by population growth and urbanization. As such, the county will use the product to monitor call activity and reduce telecommunications costs in the District Attorney’s office and the county jail.
According to the company, the county selected VeraSMART for its reporting engine, which schedules reports, manages distribution lists and delivers reports electronically by email.
It will also utilize its Avaya Switch Administration (ASA) interface, which aims to simplify system administration tasks, and the ability to track the sources and destinations of incoming and outgoing calls, providing enhanced security for the county justice system.
