Multex Systems Inc, Jersey City, New Jersey developer of Multex Publisher, an on-line service designed to distribute Wall Street and independent financial research reports, complete with complex tables, graphics, and charts, between personal computers around the world, reports that it has landed $1m in financing from Information Investment Partners, a Boston venture capital fund. Six major brokers, including Kidder Peabody, Montgomery Securities, and PaineWebber Inc have signed agreements to evaluate the use of Multex Publisher to disseminate research reports from their sell-side financial analysts to their own retail brokers in branch offices across the US as well as to buy-side investment managers, institutions, corporations, bankers, and private investors, the company reports.
