NeoMagic Corp, formed in Santa Clara, California to develop the world’s fastest graphics accelerator for mobile computers by combining logic and very large dynamic memory array on a single chip, has raised $8m in its third round of financing, bringing the company’s total venture capital raised to over $20m. NeoMagic’s first product, the MagicGraph NM2070, was introduced in March and provides the first 128-bit graphics subsystem for next-generation notebook computers. Integral Capital Partners was the lead investor in this round, which also includes NeoMagic’s initial investors. The other significant investors are Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers, Sequoia Capital, US Venture Partners, and Japan Associated Finance Co Ltd, it said.
