SunDisk Corp, making solid state secondary storage using Flash EPROMs in Santa Clara, California has secured $14m in its third round of venture financing. Among the participants coming round again were US Venture Partners, and investment funds managed by Dillon, Read & Co Inc, Oak Investment Partners, Mayfield Fund and AT&T Co. First time players were Matrix Partners, The Traveler’s Insurance Co, BancBoston Ventures, and Brown University and the new round takes the total raised by SunDisk to $26m. No word on specific plans for the cash.
