MIS Inc, Aurora, Colorado, has completed its second round of venture funding for $4m, adding Frontenac Co of Chicago to its first round funders of Hill, Carman Ventures, of Boulder, Colorado, and Austin Ventures, of Austin, Texas. The company has also changed its logo and name to Market Investment Solutions Inc. MIS Inc started with insurance accounting software on the personal computer. It now supplies Par Ex and Schedule D Investment Manager for investment company back offices’ portfolio analysis, accounting and regulatory reporting needs. It also supplies front and middle offices with Par Max for Collateralised Mortgage Obligations and mortgage-backed securities, cash flow analysis, reverse engineering and securitisation.
