VARIAN ASSOCIATES HAS BIG ORDER FROM SAMSUNG

Varian Associates Inc, Palo Alto, California has a multimillion dollar order for eight high- and medium-current ion implanters from Samsung Semiconductor and Telecommunications Ltd of Seoul, South Korea: the systems will be delivered to Samsung’s new advanced device fabrication facility in Suwon from the Varian Extrion Division plant, based in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
