US front-office automation software vendor The Vantive Corporation reports the resignation of its chief financial officer, Kathleen A. Murphy, who will retain a consulting role for the next few months while the vice-president for finance, Mike Loo, serves as interim CFO. Murphy’s resignation comes shortly after that of executive vice-president for strategic marketing, Christopher Lochhead, as well as the appointment of a new chairman of the board, William R. Davidow. Vantive reported net income of $3.7m on revenue of $36.3m in the first quarter of this year, following on from a record 1997, when it chalked up net income of $21.1m on revenue of $117m.
