VALID LOGIC SUPPORTS FUJITSU’S SPARC

By CBR Staff Writer

Fujitsu’s implementation of Sun Microsystems’ Sparc RISC microprocessor is being supported by Valid Logic Systems Inc, which has announced a hardware development support toolset, which consists of hardware models of the MB86900 SPARC integer unit and MB86910 floating point controller for use with its Realchip II and Realmodel hardware modelling system. When used in Valid’s Electronic Design Automation environment, the toolset will enable engineers to design and simulate systems based on the high performance SPARC architecture, without having to partition system designs for simulation or wait until behavioural models are available.
