UUNET HAS BIG PLANS FOR HONG KONG AND REGION

UUNet Technologies Inc, the corporate ISP division of MCI WorldCom, opened in Hong Kong yesterday and announced plans to become one of the top three internet providers in the territory as well as in Japan and Australia. UUNet, which ranks itself the world’s biggest internet service provider, wholesales internet services to major companies including the Microsoft Network and America Online, which then sell on to individual clients.
