Internet services and systems integrator USWeb/CKS Corp has acquired two international companies to expand the reach of its systems and network management skills. USWeb/CKS, which formed from the recent merger of USWeb Inc with the larger CKS Group, a marketing communications firm, has bought France’s Sysicon SA and the Internetworking Systems Group of Canada on undisclosed terms. Sysicom’s business is data center re-engineering, systems and networks architectures, facility management, intranet, extranet and internet security, and IT security, and its customers include Renault, Thomson, Alcatel, Total and Vivendi. ISG consults on and carries out system and network integration services for projects involving the management of voice, data and image transmission technologies. Its customers include AT&T Canada Long Distance Services, Canadian Imperial Bank Commerce, Cisco Systems Inc and the Royal Bank of Canada. The acquisitions give USWeb/CKS international offices in Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
