USSR ASKS TELEFONICA FOR MORE

Spain’s Compania Telefonica Nacional de Espana already has a contract for a joint venture to manufacture telephones in the Soviet Union, and its privileged position in Moscow has been further strengthened by an invitation to install an international telecommunications system to serve foreign business people and diplomats based in or visiting the Soviet capital. Telefonica hopes to have a proposal by early summer.
