Harris said that it has been selected by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), as one of the six companies to compete for contracts that will enhance the security of technology and networks to support the agency’s critical missions, one of which is ensuring the country’s food safety.
The company said that the contract vehicle has a maximum value of $25m for all the competitors and consists of one base year and four one-year options. Potential services to be provided under the contract include security analysis and assessment, communications security support, designing secure infrastructures, network penetration testing and forensic support..
Other companies selected by the US Department of Agriculture were Unisys, Mantech International, Verizon, KLC Network Services, and Computer Sciences.
