USAble Life and Benefitfocus have announced a multi-year partnership through 2013, that leverages the Benefitfocus suite of solutions to change the way group and voluntary benefits are sold, enrolled, billed and serviced.
The multiple technology solutions have been deployed for USAble Life’s insured individuals, including Benefitfocus eEnrollment, Benefitfocus eBilling and Benefitfocus eExchange. Collectively, the software provides an online shopping and application process. Self-service for ongoing bill presentment, payment and maintenance is also provided for employers and consumers enrolled in these plans, claims the company.
Reportedly, with Benefitfocus solutions, USAble Life has an enhanced ability to educate consumers about their competitive spectrum of products as the technology provides online tools to help consumers understand how the benefits work.
Julie Marshall, executive vice president of sales for USAble Life, said: “We have seen significant competitive advantages with Benefitfocus technology. With these new capabilities, we can expand market share and sell more products by providing customers with a clearer understanding of options.”
With the Benefitfocus suite of solutions, USAble Life could provide their customers with one portal for managing all of their benefits, including health benefits offered by Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans.
Shawn Jenkins, president and CEO of Benefitfocus, said: “We are honored to expand our partnership with USAble Life by providing them with value-added solutions. It is exciting to see our technology give USAble Life the ability to reach their customers with innovative online tools. Now their customers can be educated about what they need and accomplish multiple tasks from one portal.”
