US WEST PROFITS SHOULD RISE

US West Inc, the Englewood, Colorado phone company serving the Rocky Mountains, says that profits should rise 6% to 8% this year – but the improvement will come entirely from its unregulated non-telephone service interests moving into profits for the first time.
