It was love at first web site. When the Neuhoff family, from Albuquerque, New Mexico saw the High Street of the sleepy UK town of Colchester on the internet, they dreamed of making a home there. The town’s web site has a camera trained on the High Street and Juergen Neuhoff and his wife Sharone even used to get up in the middle of the night to watch the action – or lack of it. We’d watch Colchester in the morning and the afternoon and night and we didn’t see any muggers jumping out at people, said Sharone. So this year, they made the journey from New Mexico and have set up home in deadly-dull Colchester.
