US SPRINT TO STAY SINGLE AND BID ON THE FTS2000 US GOVERNMENT CONTRACT

Having been jilted a second time by Electronic Data Systems, US Sprint Communications Inc has decided to stay single and bid alone on the up to $25,000m 10-year FTS2000 US government telephone network contract: the General Services Administration has kindly extended the deadline for bids by one month to the end of April to accomodate Sprint; they have all had quite long enough to prepare their bids says impatient Martin Marietta Corp, but at least the award deadline has not been extended from the September date.
