US ROBOTICS WINS MAJOR AOL ORDER

Skokie, Illinois-based US Robotics Corp said the ANS unit of America Online Inc, took more than 40,000 of US Robotics’ Total Control Enterprise Network Hub remote access servers for V.34 dial access for its international network, ANSnet The dial network is used by ANS to provide AOLnet services for America Online and is the foundation for Intranet integration services for corporate customers. ANS is in more than 140 cities in the US and Canada, and will expand to 180 cities by June, it said. US Robotics’s network hub is designed to support high-speed, high- volume dial access which is an important component of the Managed Intranet Solutions service being jointly marketed by ANS and Hewlett-Packard Co, ANS said.
