In addition, Florida’s School Board of Broward County (SBBC) is upgrading its existing SAP programs to increase efficiencies and provide a platform for future growth.

The adoption of SAP technology comes as new legislative demands and budget deficits are driving public schools to demonstrate a tighter link between investments and their impact on student performance. SAP says its technology enables school districts to make quicker budget decisions, provide accurate reporting and have stronger financial accountability through its budget preparation, finance, human capital management and administration programs.

Steve Peck, president, SAP Public Services, said: SAP provides new levels of visibility across every school, allowing administrators and educators to best determine how to allocate funds for their particular needs, such as rapidly hiring the best qualified new teachers, executing modernization projects or implementing proven education methods.
