US POSTAL SERVICE TO PUT CONTRACT OUT TO OPEN TENDER

The US Postal Service has bowed to pressure over its single source contract with Perot Systems Corp, and has cancelled most of the deal, saying that it will put it out to open tender: it hopes to proceed with the $500,000 six-month agreement for Perot to analyse various operations and recommend methods that would enable costs to be cut.
