US POSTAL SERVICE ORDERS 300 IBM 9370s

If anyone was in any doubt that the IBM 9370 was in deep trouble, InformationWeek has the answer: the magazine reports that after the US Postal Service had ordered 300 or more 9370s for its massive administration project, questions were asked in Congress over whether the nation’s postmen were getting the right machines – if your average congressman believes the 9370 is a dog of a product, what will be the reaction of the average finance chief whose DP manager wants one?
