The US Patent & Trademark Office in Arlington, Virginia is to spend $22m over eight years with Unisys Corp for a dual processor A15JX mainframe and associated equipment and services: due in in September, the machine will handle on-line systems for tracking and monitoring patent and trademark applications; the contract also includes an A3 Text Processing System with B38 and B28 workstation clusters and the system will also be used for automated models supporting patent and trademark planning, personnel and general administrative, budget planning and fiscal management.
