US MILITARY COULD BE HURT BY RADIO SPECTRUM AUCTIONS

By CBR Staff Writer

The US military’s ability to defend the country could be in jeopardy if further radio spectrums are auctioned off for commercial use, reports the Wall Street Journal. The warning came in a report to Congress from the General Accounting Office. It is unclear how the issue will be resolved at the moment, but the GAC says the military won’t be able to carry out increasingly more common information intensive style war-fighting if sales persist.
