US Interactive Inc, an internet services company, has acquired small New York-based Sandler New Media, which develops internet strategies and marketing. Susan Sandler, the company founder and chief executive, joins IS Interactive today as its VP digital brand strategies. Sandler, one the archetypal Silicon Alley companies, was founded in 1995. US Interactive, which is actually headquartered in Philadelphia, is the subject of numerous acquisition rumors in the New York technology media, including a recent one that is was acquiring Digital Evolution, another internet strategy company, headquartered in Los Angeles, but also with Silicon Alley offices. Digital Evolution would neither confirm nor deny the story to us, but added we are working on refining several growth strategies that include mergers, acquisitions and geographical expansion.
