Netscape Communications Corp is trumpeting a multi-year US Department of Defense-wide contract for its client and server software it has won through Logicon which. It says Netscape software will be implemented across DoD networks and used by up to two million people. It claims its software are the only products that meet the DoD’s FIPS 140-1 security standard now mandated for use by Federal agencies.
