US BOX-SHIFTER PERSONAL COMPUTER NETWORK BANKRUPT

By CBR Staff Writer

Personal Computer Network of Chicago, one of the biggest mail-order marketers of ultra-low-cost IBM Personalikes in the US, has filed for Chapter XI bankruptcy protection, listing $5m in liabilities and only $1.2m in assets. The action leaves upwards of 15,000 customers who have ordered $3m of machines and equipment as unsecured creditors liable to lose their money.
