US AND JAPAN HOLD TELECOM PROCUREMENT TALKS

The US and Japan are to formally begin talks to extend an existing telecommunications sector procurement agreement which is set to expire at the end of the month, writes the Wall Street Journal. The agreement is designed to ensure no lapse in coverage and that US telecom suppliers have a fair shot at offered procurement contracts.
