US ALLOW CRAY SUPERCOMPUTER TO GO TO CHINA

The US has agreed to allow Cray Research Inc to sell a $10m supercomputer to China – for weather forecasting – in an apparant good-will gesture on the eve of the summit between the two countries’ presidents last Friday: the move was part of a White House strategy to embrace rather than isolate China despite disagreements over human rights, weapons proliferation and trade, the New York Times said.
