Univation Inc, Milpitas, California has unveiled LifeLink NC515U, a local area network interface board for MS-DOS computers that can be used with Univation’s LifeNet network operating system or Novell’s Advanced NetWare, and sells for $400: it includes Intel’s 82586 local networking co-processor chip, dual-port memory and 16Kb of on-board buffering; an upmarket LifeLink NC516 version adds Ethernet-TCP/IP integration and costs $600.
