United Scientific Holdings Plc shares were a lively market yesterday, jumping 15 pence to 195 at one point: gossip is of renewed interest from Pilkington Brothers Plc, which is said to covet USH’s optical interests, but would look to sell the Alvis side if it were to make a successful bid for USH.
