UNIT4 acquires Germany based adata Software

The acquisition is expected to expand UNIT4's product portfolio which will support about 1,200 clients in Germany by offering efficient HR processes.

Germany based UNIT4 has acquired the adata Software, marking the firm’s foray into human resources management application in addition to the existing ERP and financial applications.

The acquisition is expected to expand UNIT4’s product portfolio which will support about 1,200 clients in Germany by offering efficient HR processes.

UNIT4 Software CEO Michael Mors said this acquisition strengthens their position as a provider of flexible and independent business software in the German market.

"With adata we not only acquire excellent knowledge in terms of human resources and payroll software, but also expand our customer base and thus increase our sales opportunities," Mors said.

"The adata solutions are an ideal complement to our existing product portfolio, so that our customers will benefit from even an more consistent suite of solutions."

Following the completion of acquisition, Adata will operate under the UNIT4 as an independent business with the existing management and its 35 employees, while sharing all organisational procedures of UNIT4.

adata CEO Olaf Wiese said that the firm’s customer also benefit from the merger.

"As part of a strong company, our software solutions will constantly be developed based on the latest technologies, which ensures the long-term success of our division," Wiese said.

The acquisition also allows UNIT4 customers to expand their software solutions to including the new salary and payroll component from adata.
