UNISYS TRIES A SNAPPY NEW IMAGE

By CBR Staff Writer

So Unisys Corp is trying to lose its stuffy information management company identity in a $20m youthful advertising campaign that features models, supposedly Unisys employees, with computer terminals where their heads should be. This is presumably because Unisys employees are supposed to be thinking about solving customer problems 24 hours a day. There’s no new boiler plate yet but it may as well read NT for all the look-in its proprietary and Unix systems are getting these days. We can’t keep up with NT demand, it said. We’re being reminded by all quarters that 63% of Unisys’ $7bn revenue comes from services. New CEO Larry Weinbach has now been in the hot seat for a year.
