Unisys Corp reports that with the help of Sysland, its Hungarian distributor, it will provide a major open systems banking network for the YBL Bank Ltd: the contract is valued at $700,000 and the system will use the U 6000 Series of Unix servers to provide total service for the bank’s main office in Budapest and nine branches throughout the country – there will be two U 6000/65 mid-range systems in Budapest, with U 6000/35 entry-level systems at each branch supported by T0300 video terminals and printers; three automatic teller machines will also be installed at head office; the systems will run applications developed by Hai Ltd, a UK systems house specialising in banking; Unisys will also be training bank staff in the use of the Uniplex office automation package.
